The LWVSC Observer Corps Committee was developed to provide a means for our organization to be informed and current on primary areas of study and action. Observations will be limited to issues, studies and positions of the national, state and local League.

Each member will be provided with a LWV Study and Action Guide 2007-2009 for reference. The observer will decide whether to attend the meeting or watch it on TV. The observer will relevant information to the Board of Directors for review and possible action. The following areas are assigned:

Metropolitan Planning Organization: Millie Headdy
Sarasota County Government: Patty Schreiber, Cindy Guest
Sarasota County Memorial Hospital: Kerly Sekera
Sarasota County School Board: Sue Sherman

The committee will continue to recruit members to observe the Cities of
Longboat Key, Northport, Sarasota and Venice.

The next committee meeting will be in March 2010 when we end the fiscal
year. Any member can call for a meeting in the interim.
